a fun little musing on what it means to make a continuation of a work like that, with the same clever wit as the original game. admittedly it felt a bit less surprising this time, involving many retreads of the original's paths, but perhaps that is all part of the nature of sequels anyway...?

extremely cute aesthetics in the cutscenes, character design, level visuals, and even the sound effects are adorable, but unfortunately for the gameplay, it suffers from some of the least exciting level design in the series

an incredibly refreshing experience (relative to Game Freak's usual fare) that managed to get me excited to catch funny creatures again for the first time in many years

a fascinating concept that teeters on the edge of actually saying something with its simulator mechanics, which even include mental health and general well-being as stats to carefully balance in an Internet Streamer life-style, but avoids being earnest about anything and instead just goes for depression-porn or shock-value endings
